I had an exchange that went a bit like this: Caller: "Good afternoon, is this Mr. John Smith?" (not my actual name, but they had my real one). Me: "Indeed, it is." Then, without another word, he terminated the call. The chap had a decent command of English, yet his accent was rather unusual. Honestly, when someone just hangs up like that, it really raises a few red flags for me regarding their intentions.
