Seems like CCS is a real firm dealing with debts, mostly from DVLA concerning unpaid road tax. I've got a case with them right now and I've argued my side with the DVLA. The road tax was actually missed, so it’s not some kind of fraud. Just be sure to check everything carefully before it goes to court. Hopefully that clears things up a bit.

Got a call yesterday that I found rather odd, as I'm not in any sort of debt with HMRC. I’ve since decided to block the number.

CCS Collect have been ringing me every week about a mix up with my name. Ive given them all the info they need to fix it but they just keep on calling. It’s been nearly a year now since this all started. They say calls are recorded for training but my problem still isn’t sorted. They call knowing who I am and still ask for confidential details, which seems daft. Watch out for them, they don’t seem to actually solve issues, maybe just to pressure you for money. I’ve had to reach out to the Ombudsman for a proper complaint.

I got a call about some £15 debt for a phone contract that simply isn’t mine. I only ever had one contract with Tesco, which my dad paid off ages ago. They’re saying it’s for a totally different number, but Tesco themselves have confirmed we dont owe anything. Still, these lot won’t stop bugging me and even making threats. Really annoying!

I received a call on my landline from this number earlier today, but it was unfamiliar to me. I tried calling back, yet they were quite insistent that I divulge my personal information before they’d even consider revealing the purpose of their call. There were hints about making payments online with my card, which led me to believe it might be a debt collector of sorts. When I finally got through to someone, their refusal to clarify the nature of the call prompted me to label it a scam and assured them I would be reporting it. Quite the nuisance, really!

CCS have called me several times regarding some business thing? They kept asking for my brother in law by his name, but he doesn’t live at this address. They told me to press 1 if he did live here, so I just hung up.

This number has been ringing now and then asking for a Mr Kitchenside. I’ve told them every time that there’s no one by that name here or linked to our phone. Last week I spoke to a woman who said she’d remove us from their calling list. But today, I got an automated message from them threatening legal action over some supposed debt.

This lovely Asian lady phoned me up and suddenly asked which hand I use for wiping my bum. Without missing a beat, I told her I go with paper. We both had a good chuckle before I told her to do one!

Received a call on my O2 mobile earlier today (20/10/22) at 09:51, but they hung up before I had the chance to pick up. From what I've gathered, it doesn’t seem like I’ve missed out on anything important.

Most likely just another dodgy Caller ID, if you ask me!

Got a call from this number, and my phone flagged it as possibly a scam. I blocked it straight away, but then noticed they left a voicemail. When I played it, a robotic voice said something like “This is a call from CCS for...” but didn’t say any name. Then it repeated, “If you are...” same blank again, and asked to ring an 0845 number. Definitely sounds like a dodgy scam to me.

Got calls non stop from a debt collection company, total harrassment really.

Got a robo call from a bloke asking for my son who hasn’t lived here in like 30 years! The guy’s voice said if it was him to hit 1. Total waste of time.

0844 numbers actually cost more than 09 ones, so watch out, could be a scam. If you have debts, make sure you pay them directly to the company you owe, not some scammers pretending to be them. If you really cant afford to pay, maybe consider bankruptcy instead.
