I've been on the receiving end of a barrage of calls, texts, and emails from this particular number, and I can't shake the feeling that they're attempting to con me. Life has been quite the struggle as a single mother of five, especially having navigated divorce for nearly a year now. I’m in the process of exploring loan options, and this is what I received from them, including a rather suspicious voicemail... "Your loan has been greenlit, from £3,000 to £5,000. You're just a step away-give us a bell for further confirmation. Just a note: Bad credit? No worries, we don't ask for any upfront payments." ACE Cash Express 972-594-9291 When I replied, he congratulated me on being approved for the £5,000, then asked me for my Wells Fargo login details as proof that the account was really mine. Mind you, I'd already given him my routing and bank account numbers. To add to the madness, he claimed that at 7 in the morning, I’d receive some payment-though not the full loan amount-before I was instructed to rush down to a local store, grab some iTunes gift cards, load them up with the cash they supposedly transferred, and then refund it straight back to them. Apparently, this was their way of ensuring the loan went to the right recipient. He has been relentless with the calls and messages, incredibly pushy. At one point, he even shouted at me for changing my bank account's username and password. I can’t say for certain, but I strongly suspect this isn't a legitimate lending operation. It feels very much like a scam. How on earth did he get hold of my details related to the loan inquiry?

I received a rather curious call earlier. The person on the other end kept asking for someone named Chris, and frankly, I’m not him-though who knows for how much longer! It felt a bit fishy, to be honest. Is this one of those scams? If so, what steps can one take to steer clear of these dodgy characters?

I received a similar call myself. I answered without really thinking much of it, and the caller kept inquiring about someone named Chris. Well, I’m not Chris, obviously, and the exchange didn’t linger for too long. Is this some sort of scam, then? If so, what’s the best way to steer clear of such callers?

Someone has been calling repeatedly during the early part of the afternoon, and we're completely baffled as to who it could be.
