This number phoned me pretending to be from my bank, claiming they were my credit card company. They spoke with a very clear English accent, which was a bit different. When they started asking for info about my other cards, I immediately got suspicious and decided not to share anything. As soon as I stopped cooperating, they quickly ended the call. Totally a scam - best steer clear!

Got a call from someone saying there was an arrest warrant for tax evasion. They wanted my name, but when I told them they should already have it if they were calling me, they just hung up. Total scam, I reckon.

Stay clear of this number, it’s a total rip-off. I was on my computer when suddenly a big warning popped up saying I had a Trojan virus and to ring 0208 638 8923. A man pretending to be from Microsoft picked up and told me my PC was infected and he could fix it. After getting into my system, he then asked for money for “helping” me. He also tried to get my bank info and other personal details.

Someone called me saying my computer had a Trojan virus. It had the Microsoft logo on the message, so I thought it was legit. Then he started pushing me to buy some firewall software, and that’s when I knew it was dodgy. But by then, he’d already got access to my computer. Now I’m just worried about what damage he might have done.

I dialled this number, fully aware it was a scam. When he asked what the screen showed, I told him it said he was a cheat and a fraud. I also mentioned that I’d reported him to Microsoft and sent the details to the police. I even threw in a remark about whether his parents are proud of him for helping himself to other people’s money. The bloke clearly knows his game, but I wasn’t having any of it. Honestly, I’m so sick of all these scam calls.

My laptop suddenly showed a warning about my IP address being compromised, telling me to ring 020 8638 8923 to buy a 3 or 5 year protection plan. I nearly fell for it because they really sound like they understand computers! Don’t get tricked though. They even ring you back from a US number and give another 'technician' number that’s part of the same scam. That other phone number is 0800 048 5360, so watch out for that too.

Got a warning that looked just like Windows Defender saying I had a Trojan. It told me to call this number to sort it out. Usually I’m pretty savvy about this stuff, but honestly, I nearly got fooled by it.

A loud siren went off on my PC just now and a message came up saying not to switch off the computer but to call that number instead. I didn’t buy it, shut the window fast and then did a full virus scan on my laptop to be safe.

This number popped up on my pc and I wasn’t able to remove it along with some other texts. Decided to search it and as I thought, it’s a scam. Best avoid calling it. It’s defo messing with the computer big time.

Suddenly this warning popped up on my laptop with a really loud voice saying my device was blocked because of some trojans and to dial a particular number to fix it. I gave them a ring but also looked up the phone number on another PC while on the call. I quickly hung up, restarted my laptop and then ran a full security check - everything seemed perfectly fine with no threats detected. I’ve reported that phone number and the whole thing to Microsoft, and I’d advise anyone else who gets caught out by this to do exactly the same.

I just got tricked out of £180 by a call from this number. Our PC suddenly showed a scary alert telling us to ring Microsoft, and being clueless about computers, I called the number. Turns out it was all a con, now they’ve taken £180 and can get into all my computer stuff. Proper dodgy!
