Some bloke called saying he was from a window and door firm called Sam's. He asked if I was the homeowner, like "Is that right?" or something. I told him straight up that it sounded like a load of rubbish and ended the call. Reading through the other comments, it’s pretty obvious this is a scam. Glad I didn’t waste my time!

Somebody rang me saying they’re from Sky customer service, but we don’t even have Sky here, so it was clearly a con. I told him that fibbing like that won’t get him anywhere and he should really try to be more honest.

So I got a call this morning, like 11.06 on 17/04/24, about some Sky contract they said was up for renewal or had expired. Thing is, I never actually had any contract with them. Ended up just hanging up since they weren’t really paying attention to what I was saying.

Got a call from a bloke called Sam, claiming to be from Windows & Doors, but he reckoned I was the owner of the house. Once I explained I don’t own the place, he just hung up. Our number is on the TPS list, so we shouldn’t be getting these sales calls at all.

I ignored the call since the number looked unfamiliar to me. I figured it might be some sort of scam because I got a similar call from a different unknown number just the day before. Even tho the area codes weren’t the same, both seemed like they were connected to my town. Hopefully this info is useful. Cheers for providing this reverse lookup!

In just a quarter of an hour, I got three calls - first two from one person, the last one from someone else but all using the same phone number. Each claimed to be from another company and kept saying they needed to "secure my computer or I'd get disconnected." Definitely felt dodgy to me!!!

I received a rather dodgy call earlier today from someone with an accent reminiscent of an Indian. They claimed to be from Microsoft, insisting that my computer had been compromised in some way. However, it was quite clear they hadn’t a clue which device they were referring to. I allowed them to prattle on for a good ten minutes, but I eventually grew weary of listening to their thick accent. I could tell right away the caller was certainly not sitting in London, but rather somewhere in the Far East.

I got a call from this number once, and it was some woman with a foreign accent who said she was from Windows, going through the usual small talk. I pretended I couldn't hear her and just hung up. Not long after, the phone rang again, but this time it was a loud, pushy foreign bloke. I told him I reckoned he was trying to scam me, which just made him more rude, so I cut off the call again. Right away, the same number called again but I rejected it straight away. After that, they didn’t bother me anymore!

About ten minutes back, a man rang saying he was from Windows Security in London, claiming my PC had been hacked and my identity stolen. When I refused to sort it out that way, he threatened to show up at my house - then just hung up.
