Pretty sure this was an o2 scam. I didn't answer, but they left a voicemail by mistake. You could hear people chatting in the background with thick Indian accents mentioning o2. The sound was really rubbish as well.

Got a call from some bloke in India with a really awful connection, saying he was from my phone company, O2. Problem is, I’m not even with O2. He started going on about some amazing offer or deal for me. I told him flat out it was a spam call and then he just hung up on me.

I noticed the alert about it possibly being a scam. So when I picked up, I just stayed silent. They ended the call pretty quickly after that.

I'd recommend steering clear of this call, as it appears to be a dubious attempt at scamming folks while masquerading as O2.

Somebody called, said they were from Vodafone offering some kind of discount on my bill. The guy had a really thick Indian accent, I couldn't catch much of what he was saying. Then he handed me over to a 'manager' who sounded like they were South African, and after that, the call just got cut off. Bit fishy if you ask me.

Total scam! They promise a 40% off deal but really just want you to give them the one-time code from O2, so they can get into your account. Never ever share those codes with anyone!

FRAUD ALERT Got a call from someone with a strong accent claiming to be from o2. I told them I wasn’t an o2 customer (which I actually am), then they said sorry, must have got the wrong number and hung up right away! I've blocked the number now, and they've tried ringing a few times since but the block stops it every time.

Got a call saying it was O2 offering some kind of upgrade deal. When I looked up the number, it’s actually owned by this firm called Wavecrest. Their website suggests they used to work with Tesco Mobile or something like that. Their office is listed at Tower 42 on Old Broad Street in London, so it sounds legit enough.

I received a call today, 30th October, purportedly from 02. The caller claimed I was eligible for a 40% discount due to my loyalty as a customer. When they requested my personal details, I declined, mentioning that I wasn't interested since it's not my network provider. They pressed for information about which network I use, but I decided to cut the conversation short and hung up.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from O2, offering me a discount. I had my doubts and told him as much before hanging up. Received a call purporting to be from Vodafone, claiming they'd give me 20% off my bills simply with no effort on my part. However, when I inquired about how to activate this, she requested my email to "confirm my identity." Got a call from someone claiming to be from Curry’s or PC World, but their strong accent made it hard to get what they were saying. Today, I received a rather peculiar call in which the callers claimed to represent O2. As an O2 customer, they tried to entice me with an offer for the Apple 15 Pro Max. However, they asked for my banking details, which raised quite a few red flags for me. I didn’t divulge any information and instead decided to verify with O2 directly. Upon checking with them, I discovered that the number that called me does not belong to O2 at all. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent pretending to be from Currys or PC World, trying to sell me the newest iPhone. I asked to talk to their data protection officer. Got a call supposedly from O2 trying to give me a discount on my bill, but I’m not even a customer with them. This keeps happening, I’ve blocked loads of different numbers already. I got a rather peculiar call from a number insisting they were associated with O2, touting a whopping 40% discount. Now, I’m already with O2, and I'm only shelling out £14 monthly for two handsets! I mentioned I’d verify this with O2 before proceeding, and just like that, he cut the line!
