Loads of different 0208 numbers popping up. Definitely a dodgy insurance scam going on.

Some bloke called Micheal, said he worked for Wilkinson PPI, and told me to set up a virtual wallet on my phone to put money in. When I tried to find out which firm the PPI was actually with, he dodged the questions. Then when I asked a bit more, he just said he'd cancel the claim and promptly hung up on me. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from some Michael guy claiming he’s from County Court London about a PPI. He gave me some sort of ref number and ID but then asked me to download a wallet app from the App Store. Seemed fishy to me!

Just got a call from some guy with an Indian accent, said his name was Alex from Wilkinson’s. He kept going on about me needing to put a PPI payment into a 'wallet' or something, apparently on orders from the County Court of London? Seems fishy to me. Anyone else had this kind of call?

On the 9th of March 2020 I got a call from what seems like an insurance claims company. They honestly didn't seem very professional or knowledgeable about what they were doing.

Got a call from Claims Accident Investigations earlier. Asked them where they got my number from, they said something about the RTA database like usual. I told them to stop and ended the call, but they rang back after about 20 minutes. Had to block the number in the end!

I got a call from 02086 387793 and it was a woman with a really heavy accent. Her English was so bad I couldn’t make out what she wanted at all. I just hung up and have decided to block this number now.

I screen my calls so I didn’t catch what they were after. I just searched the number and looks like it’s linked to some sort of crash scam. Worth mentioning about these and plenty of other calls where folks mention TPS or OFCOM to get it sorted - from what I’ve heard, scammers "spoof" real area codes. So, the calls don’t actually come from the locations they claim or even a proper phone number. Makes me wonder how anyone’s supposed to track, block, or handle them properly.

Today I got loads of calls from them about some car crash, and even though I nicely told them to take my number off their list, they just kept on ringing. People like that are so annoying, honestly. Do these types actually get anything done by bugging folks? I seriously doubt it.

We get calls to our work phone nearly every day, like around 15 times a week, and there’s no way to make it stop. Each time, they just leave completely silent messages on the voicemail. Honestly, it’s so frustrating. I think people should report this to the ICO and OFCOM so they might take action.
