Got a call from 02081446106, some bloke saying he was Roy Morrison about a £2500 refund from HMRC. He said a woman called Barbara Parker would deliver a cheque and come to collect a £125 paysafe voucher from me, claiming she'd stamp it once she received it. After looking into it, I found out it’s a total SCAM, mostly targeting pensioners. Just a heads up, be careful!

I've just received a rather peculiar call from this number. They were rambling on about a so-called refund of £3500. When I mentioned I'd prefer a cheque, they said a person named Linda Edward would pop by to deliver it sometime between 3 and 4 this afternoon. They even suggested that they could transfer the funds directly into my account if I shared my bank details-like that’s ever happening! No one is getting through my door! It’ll be amusing to see if this Linda actually shows up! 😂

Got a call from a bloke claiming he was from the financial conduct authority about some bank fee refund, said a solicitor would pop round with a cheque. Instantly thought it was fishy and told him to just post it instead! Not holding my breath for anything to show up. Had a similar call before, so I’m not falling for it again.

02086386719 rang me first and the person on the line was quite impolite, demanding to speak to the manager. Later, a man named Dave Counara phoned and claimed he worked for the Financial Conduct Authority, explaining the whole situation. He said someone would visit me carrying £3000 cash, but I needed to have my photo ID and a security voucher worth £150 from the Co-op, or they could simply transfer the money to my bank account. When I asked for proof, he only gave me the same number to ring them back on. After I ignored the calls, they kept ringing me again and again.

Had a couple of dodgy calls from 020 numbers lately, so I just don’t pick up on them now. After reading some reviews, I went ahead and blocked the number.

I’m absolutely horrified by what happened to my father recently. Some con artists called him, telling him he was due some money back for bank charges and convinced him to buy a pay-safe voucher from the Co-op. They promised to send a solicitor along with a cheque for £2500! Yet, as soon as they got the voucher number, poof! No sign of the solicitor, and these crooks made off with £125 from an elderly man who barely has enough for his meals. It’s despicable, and it makes you wonder how these people can sleep at night knowing they’re targeting vulnerable folks. What a disgraceful way to hustle money!

Got a call from 02086386719 about 9:25am, some person claiming there was a charge on my card from the bank. Total scam, just a heads up! Banks never call you out of nowhere like this so don’t give them any info. Make sure you keep your bank details to yourself, these calls are just people trying to trick you. This needs to be put to an end!

Some bloke called Roy Morrison with a strange accent said I could claim £2500 for wrongly charged bank fees, and that a solicitor would come Monday with a cheque. About 30 minutes back, I got a call from someone claiming to be from a government office about my bank account. The person's English was really poor, and it was hard to catch what they were saying, plus there was this weird heavy breathing in the background. Pretty sure it's a scam.

Just got a ring from 02081446693 and it's pretty clear it was a scam. The bloke claimed he was calling from a 6719 number, which is obviously not true. Reckons he didn’t even have a clue about the 1471 service! No actual call history showing up, but figured I’d give a heads up to others anyway.
