Got a call from someone pretending to be with Direct Energy Services, which I've never heard of here in the UK. They said National Grid told them our energy bills were overcharged - totally not true, National Grid wouldn't be involved in something like that. Felt really dodgy to me. Avoid!

Received a call on my office line from some bloke I couldn’t make out properly, sounded pretty pushy too. He kept going on about energy bills and a complaint that supposedly hadn’t been settled. Thing is, we run a food van so we don’t even use mains electric or gas. Definitely feels like one of those dodgy scams to me.

Somebody rang saying they were from an energy firm, but with their strong Indian accent I couldn't really catch the name properly - sounded like Maxen or something. When I asked him to spell it out, he just cut me off and ended the call. They said they could help reduce my energy bills.
