Just like a lot of others have said, I got this weird voicemail from some American guy on a loop, talking about some sort of subscription - I couldn’t quite catch what it actually was about. The message kept saying to 'press 1 to cancel or 2 if you want to ask about something else’. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number cos it smells like a scam to me.

I asked him directly what was going on, and he just cut the call immediately. Makes me think twice, especially with that Panorama episode tonight exposing dodgy call centres in India. Got a call from someone who sounded like they were from the States, it showed up as an international number so I just ended it straight away. I think they left a message because I caught it just as my answer machine kicked in, this was about 11.40 in the morning here in Northants, England. It had that scam vibe so I didn't bother listening properly and am gonna delete the message now.
