I received a rather menacing automated call claiming to be from HMRC, stating that there’s a warrant out for my arrest and a case against me. Oddly enough, they didn’t even mention a name at the start of the message. The caller left a number to ring back, insisting that I “must not ignore” this notification. Quite unsettling, to say the least!

Beware, it’s a con! Don't be tempted to return the call or hit ‘1’. Just brush aside their vile threats without a second thought. There is definitely NO arrest warrant issued against you. And rest assured, you’re not in debt to HMRC. If there were any issues, the legitimate tax officials would reach out to you through proper channels, not by making dodgy phone calls.

I received an automated call from a voice that ominously stated there was a fraud case linked to me from HMRC, suggesting that the Met Police were coming for me soon. It’s really quite disgraceful, this kind of threatening behaviour. Thankfully, I've got a bit of life experience, so I can see it for the scam it is. However, it’s essential that these sorts of calls are put to a halt. I can only imagine how much distress it could cause someone who isn’t as savvy; it’s truly appalling.
