A person called me claiming to be from ETA Services Ltd, said it was some sort of "trading" firm. But I know ETA Services is actually about cycle insurance, so that didn't add up at all. They wouldn't explain how they found my number, just kept saying I must have "clicked on an ad" somewhere. Also, they wouldn’t give me any details like a website or social media links. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

I got a call from a bloke who said he was with some online trading firm, told me my number popped up on loads of sites for info. He actually knew my name too. When I told him I wasn’t interested and hadn’t signed up to anything, he got really annoyed. Kept pressing me for more info but I kept asking what company he was from. Eventually he just ended the call.

I found it rather unsettling when this caller mentioned my name and claimed to have obtained my information while I was perusing a cryptocurrency article online. I firmly asked her to take me off her list, but she insisted that she was unable to comply, stating it was an essential part of her job to contact me. It became clear that she had no intention of relenting, so I decided to end the call. Just a bunch of fraudsters, if you ask me!

A woman rang my mum from this number 02086384991. Since my mum isn’t great with English, I answered to help. But as soon as I said I was translating, she said my English was awful - which was a bit cheeky considering I’m Scottish - and then just cut the call. She didn’t mention any company or give any details, so it seems like a scam to me.

I received a rather peculiar phone call today from someone claiming I had registered for some online trading platform-mind you, I certainly have not! I tried to correct them, asserting that they must be mistaken, as my name is none other than Tony Stark. To my utter astonishment, the caller exclaimed that she shed tears at my funeral and insisted she was conversing with a spectre. Then she had the audacity to call me dim-witted before abruptly ending the conversation. What a bizarre encounter!

Totally a scam. The caller refused to say which company they were from and kept trying to pass me onto some "specialist" who apparently had all the details. When I questioned why she herself didn’t know who she worked for, she just dodged the question. She also came out with some nonsense about how they found my number from a banner ad I supposedly clicked. When I asked her to delete my info, she just told me to "do it myself" and then hung up on me.

I got a call from someone claiming I’d shown interest in online trading. I asked which company he worked for. Instead of giving a straight answer, he just told me to google them to verify if they were legit. When I pushed for the actual company name, he evaded again. That’s when I got really annoyed and said, “If you can’t even say the company name upfront, it’s clear you’re dodgy.” I then told him to get lost. Received a call from someone peddling cryptocurrency or something similar. When I inquired about how they had come across my number, the chap claimed it was due to my supposed registration for one of their offerings. Despite my pleas, he remained adamant that his source was above board and was rather impolite to boot. I’ve since blocked the number.

I received a rather strange phone call today; the caller claimed I had registered for something, which is absolutely not the case. They even had my name spot on. I find myself usually holding out hope for someone to actually engage when I receive calls from numbers I don’t recognise. This time, however, I was rather taken aback when the caller addressed me by my name, as I was anticipating a completely different type of inquiry. They introduced themselves as Laura Smith, though I could have sworn I heard Laura Ashley at first. When I pressed for details about how they had obtained my number, they mentioned that it was from one of their sites, yet couldn’t specify which one. Not only that, but when I asked the name of her company, she was utterly clueless. To top it off, she claimed she would transfer me to another department, but it didn’t sit right with me, so I called her out as a scammer. That's when she abruptly hung up.

I received a call from someone claiming I had shown interest in online trading. The caller, a rather forceful woman with an Eastern European accent, stated she represented a company called ETA Ltd. It's clearly a scam.

Nuisance callers at their finest! I specifically requested them to remove my number from their system, but the chap on the other end flatly refused. In the end, I told him to kindly take a hike, and after that, I promptly blocked the number.
