Funny thing is, she couldn’t even speak French and her English was terrible, needed basic words explained like “No”. The call came from a London number but she didn’t sound either French or British. She asked me to share my screen so she could “help” recover money I supposedly lost to a scam ages ago. Of course I wasn’t going to do that. How on earth can sharing my screen be fraud? But then again, I’m not about to risk letting some stranger control my computer. When I asked her to email me proof she was from FATF, I got an email an hour later from a Gmail address with some random old FATF docs copied from the net. So yeah, definitely not from the Financial Action Task Force.
