2 yearsI got a call from someone pushing a loan, but they asked me for cash upfront before anything happened. They were really nasty and quite impolite throughout the whole chat. Definitely not a nice experience.2 yearsI got a call from this number claiming to be with Natwest’s fraud department, saying there was unusual activity on my account. They were quite convincing and knew exactly what to say, very slick with their info. Luckily, having fallen victim to a scam before, I spotted what they were up to straight away and told them they’d been caught out. After that, the line went dead pretty quickly. Don’t share any details if they ring you, and just block the number to be safe.Natwest Fraud Team3 yearsGot an email supposedly from eBay saying my order was confirmed - total nonsense, obviously a scam. The email mentioned an order number MZ433849 and had a heading about shipment confirmation #7848887. It thanked me for shopping with eBay and gave a “PayID” 86994, telling me to keep it safe. They even added a “fraud protection team” phone number: +44 20 8638 0528, pretending you could contact them if you had questions. The fake order details said I bought a MacBook Pro 16-inch M2 in Space Grey for £1,699.00, shipped to some address in Edinburgh: “721, Comcial Quary.” Supposedly the payment was via auto debit card and delivery was expected between 22-24 Feb. The email insisted my purchase was protected by “eGuarantee” and offered support on the same dodgy number if I didn’t receive the item or it arrived damaged. Overall, just another phishing attempt trying to get me to panic or hand over details. Don’t fall for it!EdinburghUnited Kingdom3 yearsI’ve seen this number pop up in some dodgy emails lately. Says something about PayID 64301 and claims I bought a laptop for £1,699 from a place called "nexthand-0." They want me to call that number if I have any issues - supposedly it’s for eBay’s fraud team or something. The address they listed was a weird one in Edinburgh too. Obviously, I didn’t order anything like that, and the whole thing feels super fishy. Watch out if you get a message like this!
