Got a call earlier today about switching me to a “better” appliance cover. The woman started by asking which bank I use for my direct debit, then surprisingly gave me the first 4 numbers of my debit card - she claimed she’d know them from the bank I mentioned. After that, she pushed for my sort code and full account number. Honestly, that felt really risky. I refused to share anything and she ended the call right away. These folks are a real menace and need to be caught and locked up to put an end to this nonsense!!

Got a call earlier from someone telling me my appliances insurance wasn’t the best deal around. When I asked which appliances she was talking about, she couldn’t really say. She just went with “all of them.” I then told her straight up that my number is on the TPS list and what she’s doing is actually illegal. I also gave her a cheeky suggestion about where she could go and hang out instead!

Got a call from someone saying my appliance cover was due to be renewed and they wanted my bank info. They acted like they already had it on file but needed to verify it again. When I told them I don’t actually have any policy with them, the person said I must’ve got two policies by mistake. Of course, I haven’t. They didn’t stick around much longer after that.

I received a call from this number, and the chap on the other end claimed that my washing machine, fridge, and freezer were all up for insurance renewal. When I pointed out that I actually have coverage for none of those appliances, he got quite irate and accused me of being the one spinning tales. Then, without further ado, he hung up. A trustworthy enterprise? Absolutely not in my estimation... LORY
