Got a ring from 02086321154, all the typical call centre background sounds, this woman with an Indian accent who said she was Jane from BT Openreach. She claimed there were reports our internet was running slow. I said that was strange as we’re not with BT, to which she replied that BT supplies all the other networks so she could still see the problem. I just ended the call immediately, seemed like a downright scam trying to get you to let them into your computer to “sort” the problem. Bet they’d rummage around for important stuff if they got the chance!

Got two calls earlier today. First time it was one of those call centre switch arounds so I just ended it. Second time, nobody answered at all. Feels like this is never gonna stop, who’s actually gonna do something about it? BT, TPS? Yeah, right!

Got a call from an Indian call centre saying they were from BT Openreach, worried about my router and line speed. I told them I was loving a good fairy tale and asked them to carry on. 02086321154 A woman rang me claiming she was from BT Openreach. I explained I’m not a BT customer. She insisted she wasn’t trying to sell anything. I asked what the call was about, and she said she’d noticed an issue with my internet connection. When I asked for her name to make a complaint, she just hung up. She had an accent, so I don’t think it was a bot. This is the second time I’ve had a call like this from a lady saying she’s from BT. I’m definitely going to report this.
