I received a call, allegedly from BT, claiming that my IP address had been breached and that I’d lose my internet connection within a day unless I hit 1 to connect with a technician. Clearly, this isn't how BT operates; they wouldn’t reach out in such a way out of the blue. Moreover, unless you're using a static IP (which you'd definitely recognise), your IP is assigned by your service provider every time you connect, making the idea of it being compromised a bit nonsensical. Just a heads up for anyone else who may be caught off guard by such scams!
