Phone number ☎️ 02086115938 👆 is reported as a likely fraudulent operation posing as a PPI reclamation service. Callers often claim sizeable refunds on outdated loans, sometimes using inconsistent or incorrect addresses. They pressure targets to download remote access apps, raising major security concerns. The callers typically display unprofessional behaviour, including inappropriate language and inconsistent explanations. Numbers are associated with various UK locations but often mismatch the claimed origin. They attempt to extract personal or banking details and discourage verification. 5 yearsI've recently received a call regarding PPI linked to a loan I took out back in 2005, but here's the twist - I didn't even reside at that address until 2006 and haven't been there since 2008! Quite baffling, isn’t it?5 yearsAbout 22 days ago, I received a call from a bloke claiming to be from a service that was supposedly handling some reclaim for me. He mentioned that I was owed a whopping £3,550. Can you believe that? Then he started insisting that I download some apps from the Play Store and sent me links for AnyDesk plug-ins. The number that rang me was 01173184643. When I asked him to shoot me a blank email, so I could verify the IP address, he said he could only do it after he’d transferred the money. It’s outrageous! These scammers must be put a stop to - it’s frightening how easily some unsuspecting individuals could fall for this nonsense and end up losing everything they’ve got. He claimed to be calling from Bristol, yet the number he used is a London one, and we all know 0208 belongs in London!Play StoreAnyDeskBristolLondon5 yearsI recently found myself in a rather similar situation regarding some cash that was due to me. I played along and even rang them back to check if they were trying to pull a fast one. They assured me they were on the up and up! Then, I was handed off to a different lady who was meant to verify my driving licence. From the moment she opened her mouth, I started feeling uneasy. Her manner was anything but professional, and she had the audacity to keep calling me "darling." Seriously? If they’re truly above board, they could easily send something in the post or reach out in a more suitable way. Such a complete waste of my time!5 yearsThe phone number that reached out to me was 02080508564, and the caller identified themselves as PPI Reclaim Services. Straight away, I could tell from their strong Asian accent that something was off-certainly raises some concerning questions about whether such instances might contribute to unwarranted suspicions about all Asian individuals, particularly when they are unfamiliar to us. After a rather dodgy introduction, AMANDA started throwing around some nonsense about me being owed £3350-she even rattled off a string of digits; a case file number, a Claim ID number, and an alternative number to supposedly verify her frankly ridiculous claims. She mentioned needing to pass me over to a SENIOR OFFICER named Danny, yet her reasons for this transfer remained a mystery. When Danny got on the line, he too sported a thick Asian accent and promptly requested all the information that AMANDA had just provided me. When I questioned him about why he needed it again since it should already be on their records, he seemed to lose his composure. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and pressed on for clarity about his role in the process and what he actually needed from me. To my astonishment, the call abruptly cut off, and I haven’t heard a peep from them since. From my experience with these dodgy types, it’s quite clear that once you engage with one scam call, your number gets passed around to others, who hope you’ll drop your guard. This is strikingly similar to those dodgy AMAZON DELIVERY SCAMS. So, my straightforward advice is this: if the number is unfamiliar, don’t pick up. If it’s legitimate, they will leave a message and provide a contact number, which you ought to verify through reputable sources like this site. If they are on the up and up, they'll either call back with another message or send you something in writing. Keep safe, everyone. It truly baffles me how individuals can knowingly involve themselves in scams like these. I also strongly believe that many of these calls are sourced from overseas, and thus, since the scams aren’t perpetrated in their home countries, the authorities often either can’t or won’t take action. My suggestion would be that any foreign aid offered should only be granted to countries that actively tackle and penalise scammers rather than allowing them to hide behind red tape or petty corruption. If impoverished nations wish to engage with wealthier ones on a global scale, they must reciprocate by safeguarding the citizens of those wealthier nations.AMANDADanny5 yearsI can't quite put my finger on it, but something feels off about this call. When they start probing for your banking information and push you to access some sort of remote phone system, that's your cue to end the conversation immediately. It's best to trust your instincts in situations like these.5 yearsI received an unexpected call from 01174071934, supposedly hailing from a firm named Reclaim Services. They claimed that I was entitled to a PPI reimbursement of £3550. After allowing them to prattle on for a bit, I was then put through to Rachel, who had quite a pronounced Asian accent. She subsequently transferred me to Emily Hill-who also spoke with a strong Asian accent. They insisted that I link my phone to an application called AnyDesk, reassuring me that it wouldn't grant them access to my device. When I probed what a scammer would typically assert, they seemed a tad flustered. To top it off, they provided a number, 02086115938, supposedly for verifying their details. It appears I may miss out on £3000, which is rather amusing! Clearly, these are total fraudsters-never let anyone remotely connect to your phone!Reclaim ServicesRachelEmily HillAnyDesk5 yearsThis con artist didn't even bother to get my name right!5 yearsI received a call from 0208 6115938 claiming to represent some sort of claims service. So please, do not call me again.John Cleese5 yearsReceived a rather dodgy call from someone claiming to be a reclaim service, supposedly named Peter. The chap had a thick accent and was trying hard to convince me that he was legitimate. He threw around a bunch of identification numbers to make it all seem credible.
