Phone just went to voicemail on my landline, and usually scam calls hang up as soon as they hear it. But this one actually left a message after the beep, giving a 5-digit security code. That's usually what happens when you're doing 2-step verification and need a code sent to you, but they normally say it straight away, not after the beep, so it’s easy to miss. They didn’t say who they were or anything. The weirdest bit was the time - half past midnight.

Got a call on my landline that went right to voicemail. After the tone, there was this automated voice giving out a 5-digit verification code. I’ve seen these codes pop up a lot for 2-step verification stuff, but usually they read the code immediately once someone picks up, not wait to leave it on an answering machine. Bit weird, and it was also pretty late - like 12.10 in the morning! Definitely not the usual timing for this kinda thing.
