Looks like the cockneys have popped up again on this number after being off the radar for a few years. Maybe they've been let off on licence or something??

Got a call from an Asian lady, background noise sounded like a call centre. She claimed I’d won a washing machine from Marks & Spencer and somehow knew my name, postcode and landline. She asked me to confirm my postcode, and it was right. Later I checked the number she called from, and it wasn’t listed anywhere. Seems to be a scam, though I’m not exactly sure how they’re doing it. I read somewhere in the States, scammers get you to say “yes” so they can use your voice for authorising online purchases. I’ve already passed the info on to my bank’s fraud team just in case.

just ended the call right away, didn’t want to waste my time.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent who claimed he had a message for my wife from Marks & Spencer. He wouldn’t share the message unless I told him who I was, which I refused to do. After that, he just wouldn’t give me the message at all. I got fed up and ended the call. Total time waster. Best to just block or ignore this number.

I got a call from someone who knew my name and address, claiming to be from Marks and Spencer about my washing machine, but as soon as I asked questions, they just hung up. Just to be safe, I rang my bank to keep an eye on any strange transactions.

Got a call just like this about a washing machine and something to do with M & S, then they just hung up on me!

My voicemail picked it up, thinking I was away. When I called back, it turned out the number wasn’t even registered.

Got a call from an Asian lady today, she wanted me to confirm my address and name. When I asked her the reason, she said it was about my washing machine and that she was calling for Marks and Spencer. Then, out of nowhere, she just cut me off. Seems like the same sort of call others have mentioned here.

Got a call supposedly from Marks and Spencer asking to talk to me. They actually had my full name and even my postcode, but then just cut the call. Felt like a total scam and really freaked out they had all that info!

Got a call from a woman who sounded Indian. She said my name and when I said yes, she rattled off my house number and postcode spot on, then asked me to confirm them. I asked who it was and she replied, “This is Marks and Spencer calling,” and just ended the call. Quite strange.

Got a call from an Asian lady, she mentioned Marks & Spencer and something about a recording device, then just cut off! When I checked, the number showed as out of service. Quite odd!

Got a call from an Asian gentleman asking for me by name, but he spoke to my husband first. He also knew our postcode right, said he was calling from Marks & Spencer about a delivery for our washing machine. Why do these scams still happen? You'd think they'd be slapped with big fines which might put an end to this nonsense.

I got a call from a woman with a strange accent, claiming she was from M and S. She said she had some message for my husband and even knew his name, which was odd. Then she wanted my name, but I didn’t want to tell her. I told her to just ring my husband on his mobile if it was real, since she should have his number if it was legit. She just ended the call right away. Seems like a total scam to me.

Had a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was ringing from Marks and Spencer, but then he just ended the call. Felt a bit dodgy, so I think it might have been a scam.

Received a call but there was no sound, just silence on the line.

Got a call from a bloke who seemed to have the wrong name matched with our number, though he did mention the right address when I told him the name didn’t belong to anyone here. He kept insisting on knowing my real name, which I wouldn’t share. Eventually, he said it was some kind of confirmation call from Marks and Spencer, whatever that’s supposed to mean. Then he just hung up. The line was bad, his English was all over the place, and the number he called from wasn’t even working. Pretty clear it was a scam.
