So I just got a call from this lady with a really strong foreign accent saying she was from TalkTalk. She asked if we shared a phone line and then warned us about hackers messing with our connection. She told me to check the router straight away. When I started questioning her, she suddenly just ended the call. Honestly, watch out for this kind of thing and just hang up!

I've received numerous calls from this number-usually, they hang up straight away or they say they're representing Talktalk.

I recently received a rather peculiar call from a lady with an accent that suggested she wasn't local. She claimed to represent TalkTalk and inquired whether I shared my phone line with anyone. When I probed further, asking why that was important, she mentioned something about hackers attempting to infiltrate our internet connection and insisted I check my router for how many green lights were illuminated. However, when I expressed my skepticism regarding her legitimacy and requested a contact number to return the call, she promptly hung up! Just a heads-up to everyone; stay vigilant!

I recently received a phone call from a woman with a thick accent who claimed to be from TalkTalk. She kept pressuring me about whether I shared my line with anyone. When I questioned her reason for asking, she spun a tale about hackers attempting to breach our internet connection, insisting I should check the router for the number of green lights. I expressed my doubts about her legitimacy and requested a callback number, and, predictably, she hung up! Just a word of caution to everyone out there!

I've received numerous calls regarding an issue with my internet connection. Each time, I thank them and mention that I’ll consult with the TalkTalk engineer standing right next to me about the matter. I usually request they drop me an email detailing the issue instead. And then, without fail, the line goes silent!

Whenever I get one of those dodgy calls from someone claiming to be from the TalkTalk tech support, my go-to response is to firmly tell them, "You're not with TalkTalk. You're nothing but a fraudster looking to snatch money from honest, hardworking individuals. The distress you cause is appalling, and you ought to feel deeply ashamed." At times, I even throw in, "You're lower than filth on the pavement." Most of the time, they can't hang up fast enough before I finish my little speech!

Could someone kindly reveal who’s behind this number? It’s rather tiresome to keep receiving calls without so much as a message being left. If this continues, I’ll have no option but to take matters further and lodge a complaint. Cheers!

I received a call from a woman with an Indian accent, who claimed my TalkTalk router had been hacked, and that numerous individuals were supposedly accessing my internet connection. She insisted I switch on my computer and log into different accounts for her. I kept her on the line for a bit, but eventually lost interest and told her to take a hike!

I got a call from someone saying they were with talktalk and that my router was at risk of being hacked. They somehow got access to my computer and then asked me to pay to sort out the problem. When I asked questions, they just hung up. Weirdly, they called again the following day trying the exact same scam.

This number rang me but they just cut off right after I picked up. I reckon it's one of those scams where they try to get into your PC to plant some nasty malware, then demand money to fix it. Don’t trust them even if they claim they’re from your legitimate phone or internet company, and never follow their instructions on your computer. These people are up to no good, stay safe!

I received a rather peculiar phone call from a chap who purported to be representing BT, claiming there was a problem with my broadband connection. However, when I mentioned that I'm situated in Hull and solely have KCom for my internet service, as well as informing him that my number is on the Telephone Preference Service list, he grew quite agitated. Out of nowhere, he started threatening me, going on about how he would hunt me down and "deal with me" in a rather menacing tone. I was completely taken aback and promptly hung up. I’d be very keen to identify the company behind this call and ensure that this individual is reported to the proper authorities.

Someone called me claiming there was a hacker from abroad messing with my Sky internet and said I had to log into my PC so he could sort it out. Told him I work in IT and know how to spot these things, then just ended the call. Seriously, don’t get caught out by these scams, they’re trying this nonsense all the time.

The call began with the guy making rude sounds that my disabled lad makes. When I questioned why he was doing that, he snapped back telling me to f### off with some awful language, shouting, and more weird noises before he just hung up on me.

I picked up the phone to someone ridiculing the sounds my disabled son makes. When I confronted him about it, he got very aggressive, hurling foul language at me, starting with a nasty "f your fing p," followed by a tirade of swearing once I foolishly asked him to repeat himself. Eventually, he just hung up on me.

I received a call from a chap named "Steve" claiming to be from Virgin Media. He was going on about some hackers infiltrating my internet and supposedly accessing my computer. Quite an intriguing chat, I must say! When he enquired, "Why madam?" I simply replied, "Well, that's rather amusing, considering I'm not even a Virgin Media customer!" Oddly enough, he ended the call abruptly! How do these individuals manage to rest easy at night?

I've received a barrage of six calls over the past three days, all from someone claiming to be with the Sky technical support team. To be honest, their English was rather difficult to comprehend, which set off alarm bells for me right away. They insisted my computer was experiencing issues, but I recognised it as a scam from the outset. On the final call, I lost my patience and told him to shove off! Watch out, everyone!

Just received a call from someone claiming to be Alex from Virgin, but I highly doubt it! This marks the ninth instance of a purported Virgin call within the past week, each time from a different number. Today it was Alex, while I’ve also had repeated calls from a Sammy Anderson and a couple from Peter, with some other callers remaining anonymous. Most of the numbers came up as withheld too. I've gone ahead and reported all these incidences to the genuine Virgin team.

I’m thoroughly annoyed with this persistent caller, so I decided to pick up the phone. A chap with a foreign accent introduced himself as a tech representative from Virgin Media, alleging that our account had been compromised. He went by the name of Peter William, and his contact number was 0203 239 1106. Just to clarify, VIRGIN MEDIA doesn't operate in this manner at all!

This number, 02085925878, buzzes me a few times a day, sometimes three, sometimes four. I've blocked it on my phone, but they keep at it anyway. Luckily, BT Call Guardian steps in and cuts them off after just a couple of rings, so it’s not too annoying!

I had a rather peculiar encounter with a woman, who I presumed to be of Indian origin, claiming she was calling from "Sky." She informed me that there had been an attempt to breach my computer's security. Naturally, I probed her a bit, asking whether she indeed represented the Sky network. To my surprise, she affirmed that she did! When I pointed out that I didn’t even subscribe to Sky’s internet services, the conversation took a sharp turn, and she fell silent. Curiously, I inquired if the number she was dialling from was British, to which she again responded in the affirmative. I seized the opportunity to inform her that I could report her for this apparent scam attempt. Unsurprisingly, she abruptly ended the call. Such a lack of manners!

Received a call claiming they were from Sky, mentioning a hack attempted on my internet. The person had a Pakistani accent and called from a London number. Seems a bit dodgy, doesn’t it? Sky’s actually rooted in Scotland, so why would a genuine representative contact me from there? They should really crack down on these scams before they manage to deceive unsuspecting folks out of their cash.

I received a call from this number claiming to be from Sky, alleging that someone was attempting to secure a loan at my address. They inquired if there were any lights blinking on my router. I replied in the negative. They then requested I switch it off and then on again, but I mentioned that I was unable to do so. I picked up the call only to be told they were representing Virgin. They mentioned an issue with my internet connection, claiming some overseas individual was attempting to access my computer. I sensed something wasn't right, so I hung up. However, they called back straight away, questioning why I’d ended the conversation. I explained that I suspected it was a scam, especially since I am acquainted with people at Virgin and Microsoft who would never reach out to me in such a manner.
