Got a call from a bloke who said his name was something like ‘Sean’, but his accent was a bit Indian-sounding, so not really convinced. He claimed he was calling about some 'technical issues with my computer'. I was super busy so couldn’t bother talking for long, and as soon as I told him it was illegal and I didn’t want to talk, he just hung up straight away.

So this tech support lady called, claiming my PC was loaded with viruses that my antivirus somehow missed. Thing is, my laptop isn’t even hooked up to the internet right now! I just let her go on, pretending to be all ears, then when she asked me to open my computer, I told her straight she was talking rubbish, since there’s no way she could check anything remotely without a connection.

This number has called us a few times over the past few days, actually three times. Twice of those calls came just about ten minutes apart. The person claimed there was something wrong with our router, but my husband explained we hadn’t noticed any issues. They said they were from TalkTalk. When my husband asked how he could be sure they were legit and what their intentions were, the caller got annoyed and told him to stop messing them about before hanging up straight away.

This number has rung us up thrice just over the past few days. Twice, they called back to back within like ten minutes or so. The person on the line claimed there was an issue with our router, but my husband said everything's fine on our end. They kept saying they were with TalkTalk. When my husband asked how we could be sure they were legit and what their real purpose was, the caller told him to stop messing about and just ended the call immediately.
