I've got an answerphone in place, so if they were on the level, surely they'd drop a message, wouldn’t they? It's downright irritating receiving calls that start with, “I won’t sell you anything” - I just hang up! Not long ago, I took a call thinking it might be important. The chap on the line addressed me as 'Mrs', to which I responded affirmatively. Then he proceeded to mention my first name and home address, right before asking for my postcode. Honestly, I just told him to bog off and slammed the phone down. I was absolutely livid!
