This number has been calling me loads, like a couple times every day. Whenever I pick up, there's nobody on the line, then I get a message saying the caller has hung up. It’s really annoying.

Today I got a ring from this number, actually it’s one of a few I’ve had this week. The person on the line asked if I was still getting unwanted calls. I told him yes, this call was one of them. He claimed he could stop the calls coming through. Then, after chatting a bit, he asked for my debit card info. I asked if there would be a charge for this service, and when he said no, I wondered why he needed my card details at all. His excuse was to verify my identity, but that made no sense to me - if the goal is to block calls, why do they need to know who I am financially? Felt like a load of nonsense.

I just cut the call short, wasn’t interested, sounded like one of those annoying spam calls.

They claimed they could block annoying calls but then asked for the expiry date on my bank card? Seems odd since they said the service is free. I just hung up on them straight away.
