Absolutely infuriating, can't we just sort them out once and for all?

When I was quizzed about whether I owned or used a computer, I cheekily said no, it was my dog who was the tech whizz. This left them rather bewildered. After a brief pause, they asked if I was certain. I confidently replied that I'm actively teaching my dog some IT skills. At that, the line went dead.

I received a call from someone claiming there was an issue with my internet that he could resolve. However, before he could finish his spiel, I cut in, stating, “this is clearly a scam, and you're well aware of it, so I won't be giving you a penny to 'fix' anything.” He promptly ended the call. After that, I checked the number through 1471, but when I attempted to ring it, my phone displayed a number error. I've previously fallen victim to these dodgy characters and reported the incident to Action Fraud. Unfortunately, I didn’t see any of my money returned.
