Some bloke rang me saying he was with BT and wanted to chat about my internet speed. I told him he wasn’t, and asked who he was actually talking to if he was really from BT. He then said he couldn’t tell me because of some data protection rule. When I pushed a bit more, he suddenly said he worked for some umbrella firm. Total load of rubbish! Thing is, the broadband account isn’t under my name, it’s my partner’s. Then he had the cheek to ask why I was wasting his time! Seriously? He was the one ringing me and taking up my time. When I told him that, he just hung up on me. What a strange call!
