He rang me, insisting he was from BT, claiming he wanted to discuss my internet speed. When I challenged him on his identity, asking who he was actually representing from BT, he suddenly pivoted to blaming it all on "data protection." How convenient! When I pressed him further, he then had the audacity to say he was affiliated with an umbrella company. What a charlatan! The kicker is that the broadband account isn’t even in my name; it’s my partner’s. When I confronted him about wasting my time, he had the cheek to ask why I was bothering him! Honestly, he’s the one who interrupted my day. I confronted him, and then he just cut the call.
