I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was ringing on behalf of BT. When I asked why she was contacting me since I’m not a BT customer, she hesitated a bit before launching into the usual BS about BT being the biggest telecom in the UK. I pointed out she was calling from India though. She quickly denied it and rattled off an old BT address, not the current one. I told her she’s out of date since BT moved from there, so obviously it’s a scam. Oddly enough, she didn’t want to keep talking after that and just hung up. Honestly, I enjoy confusing these scammers.
