He spoke with an Indian accent and introduced himself as Michael, although I didn't quite catch his surname. He claimed to be calling from Basildon council regarding an incident involving my car. The thing is, I've not been in any car accident at all! Curious, I inquired if he knew my name, to which he surprisingly responded with "Mrs. Shasha". I told him he must have dialled the wrong number and promptly ended the conversation. Feeling a bit uneasy, I decided to call the number back, only to be connected to a London taxi firm. The chap at the other end expressed his apologies and informed me that their phone number had apparently been misused, and that trading standards were already on the case.
