Got a call from 020 8554 6419, was a recorded voice claiming to be from my bank. Definite scam, so I blocked the number straight away.

When I get a call out of the blue, most times they hang up before the automated message even starts. If the message does kick in, I listen long enough to check if it’s someone I actually want to speak with, then I jump in. Otherwise, I just end the call straight away. Since I started doing this, the annoying cold calls or scams have pretty much stopped now.

My phone rang from this number earlier today. I picked up but there was complete silence at the other end. I stayed quiet as well but had a feeling it was just one of those annoying calls. Turns out, they'd tried ringing me before too.
