Someone called claiming to be from BT tech support, telling me my internet had recently been switched to a public connection. They gave me a full London address to sound legit. They then started asking about my devices like my PC and phone. I got a bit wary and asked them to confirm my account number. They said they were from tech support but that info was with the sales and marketing team. I told them to check with the right department and call me back. They just ended the call. Sounds dodgy to me, could be a scam.
