I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be from BT's technical support team. They insisted that my internet connection had recently been altered and was now accessible to the public. In an attempt to seem credible, they provided a full postal address in London. However, they quickly began to request details regarding my devices, like my computer and mobile phone, which threw me off guard. I grew wary and requested my account number for verification. The caller simply reiterated that they were with BT tech support, stating that such information was with their marketing and sales departments. I suggested they reach out to that team to verify my details and call me back, but the caller abruptly hung up. I have a strong feeling this might be some sort of scam.
