I got a call from this number and since I was waiting for a call from that region, I picked up. The person on the line claimed they were calling from some supermarket, but I couldn't catch the complete name, so I asked them to spell it out. Instead, they told me I was over ## years old and somehow had my information, yet refused to say the name properly. They kept pestering me about my age, so I just ended the call.

When I asked what for, he said they were doing a survey on the two most popular brands in the UK. Then he asked me to verify my name but gave me a totally different one. I told him that wasn’t me and he just hung up straight away.

Received a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying there was an arrest warrant out for me due to tax fraud. I didn’t even bother arguing, just ended the call straight away. There's no way HMRC would handle things like that. Blocked the number immediately!

Got a call from a woman who sounded Indian, said she was from a supermarket and that I’d somehow won a £30 voucher. She tried to verify my address but used my old postcode, which gave it away. I just ended the call. Then, the same number called me back about three hours later but I chose not to pick up.

Got a call this morning about 10.35am on the 27th Nov from a lady with an eastern accent. She said her name and claimed to be calling from "Q Benefits" or maybe “New Benefits” - can’t quite remember. She said she had three questions for me. I asked her to explain what she was calling about properly before I answered anything. After that, she just ended the call right away.

Got a call from a quiet number that looked like it was from London, but no one spoke. Feels like these scammers don’t even bother trying to be clever. Would be easier to believe if they used a number from somewhere nearer, like within a few hundred miles of me, or actually said something. Got a call at 3:02 pm from a woman who sounded Indian or Filipino. When I answered after a few pauses, she immediately asked for my late wife by name! Got a call from some guy named Daniel, said he was from Benefits UK or something. I don’t even claim any benefits so it was a complete waste of time. I asked nicely to be taken off their list but doubt it’ll make any difference. Even if you block one number, they just call back from somewhere else.
