Got a call from "Rapid Advice Specialists" asking if I’d been in a car crash. It was one of those robotic voices, so it didn’t handle my replies very well - I said stuff like "Remove me from your list" but it just didn’t get it. Then it switched to asking if I’d ever been in any kind of accident whatsoever.

This is a proper company, they rang me again and I picked up, they were talkin about a photoshoot my mate was involved in and said she gave them my contact. Got a missed call from 020 8545 2052, but I reckon that number is dodgy or masked. If you try calling 020 8545 2051, which is almost the same, you'll reach BROADWAY STUDIOS based in Wimbledon. Their site is thebroadwaystudios[###]. If you look up that domain on a WHOIS lookup, it shows the registrant's name and their Bath address - the internet really gives you power!

i got a call from some guy who started talking about a photo studio in Wembley. he somehow knew my name too. when i told him, "this is a bit random," he snapped back with "no need to be rude" and just ended the call on me.

Got a call like this not long ago - was just dead silence when I answered!!! Would definitely suggest putting it on [#]stopthep###s[###] as well! It’s a fairly new site, but if loads of people report the same number or firm, like over 50 users, they reach out and ask them to take the numbers off their list and also notify Ofcom. If the ringing keeps up, they'll help you fight it too.

Got a call yesterday from someone who had my name and said a mate of mine (they named her too) had sent me for a free makeover at their salon just down the road. I told them it sounded a bit dodgy and that I wasn't up for it. They insisted I could double-check with the mate to verify but I told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. No idea what they wanted. Then, funny enough, I bumped into that mate on my way to work today and she had absolutely no clue about any of it.

A guy rang me and knew both my name and a mate's, said we'd been put forward with about 11 others for a free photoshoot. Not sure where he got my number from. When I said I'd prefer to ask my mate first, he said if I rang later I’d miss out, but he could ring back or just give the offer to someone else. I went with the last one and hung up. If we’re talking scam callers, 10/10 for being polite, but 0/10 for being original.

I recently had an experience with this number, which turns out to be associated with Broadway studios. I must say, the offer they present is quite genuine; they really do provide a complimentary photoshoot along with a makeover, plus three free snaps. However, a bit of a caveat-the three images are rather on the diminutive side, way smaller than A5. While we were there, they insisted we provide at least 150 contacts, which is how they ended up knowing my name or nickname. They were promising discounts of up to 75% and a plethora of free goodies. My companion managed to get some of those free items, but alas, I walked away empty-handed! Moreover, if you fancied purchasing the copyright for those images, it would set you back £75 for just one photo on a disc. Quite a cheeky move, if you ask me! The experience itself was enjoyable, but it's crucial to have a clear idea of your needs beforehand!

My mate got tricked by this sketchy photo place. They promised her three free pics if she did a shoot but then hit her with crazy fees just to see the photos. Plus, they messed about with her iPhone and grabbed all her contacts, which is how I ended up getting a call from them. Stay well clear, it’s a total scam!

A mate told me about a photoshoot in Wimbledon so I gave it a go and paid a £1 booking charge (they never gave it back, but it’s just a quid so no biggie). They had some deal on where I got 5 pics for free and my bank info wasn’t at risk or anything :)

So, I got a call from someone claiming that a couple of my 'mates' had signed me up for a free makeover and photo shoot. Thing is, the names they mentioned were complete strangers to me, people I've never met. When I told them I wasn't interested, the lady on the line got quite snappy and kept asking why I’d turn down such a great offer. She wouldn’t even accept that those names weren’t my friends.
