I got a call earlier today from someone saying they were with EDF energy, trying to get me to accept a new tariff while the call was being recorded. I asked them to send the details by email instead, but they kept insisting I had to confirm everything over the phone first before I'd get anything in writing. They couldn’t even provide the account number they were referring to. They were quite pushy and even got a bit annoyed when I didn’t go along with it!
