Received a dodgy call asking for permission to access my home computer! Quite alarming, really!

Upon picking up the call, I was greeted by a robotic woman's voice claiming to be from my internet service provider. It ominously announced that my internet would be cut off within the next day due to some alleged unlawful activity. They urged me to speak to an 'Executive' for clarification, instructing me to press 1 to connect. However, if I didn’t comply, the line went silent, leaving me rather unsettled.
