Got a robo-call saying it was from BT or TalkTalk or even Microsoft, warning me my internet would get cut off because they found some cyber threat on my PC or router. Then they wanted me to switch on my computer and walk me through installing some programme. Don’t fall for it! It’s definitely a con!

Got a call from some bloke saying he was with the TPS cyber crime team, but it was an obvious scam. He tried to trick me into paying £79.95 to have my number put ex-directory. Total nonsense.

Heads up, this could well be a scam. Got a call saying it was BT telling me my IP was hacked and asking me to press 1. I just hung up straight away. Actually got a call like that last week too. We're not even customers with BT.
