A bloke rang a few days back asking for someone by name, and since then he’s kept ringing several times. Not sure why he’s been calling us so much, but after looking him up on this site, he seems like a bit of a pest. So we’ve just put the phone off. Tough luck, mate.

Rianna was asking straight up for the MD by their name (which isnt too hard to find!!) saying it was a private matter & wouldnt give the company’s name, probably trying to dodge the whole TPS thing! When I kept asking who they were or why they were ringing, they just said they’d call back another time - yeah right, as if! Rang the number back myself and Mr Lender refused to take my number off their list, said they dont have to or something. I’ve put a complaint in with the TPS now.

I received a call from this number earlier today... I opted not to pick up since the caller was unfamiliar. The call ended before my voicemail had a chance to kick in, which leads me to believe it was just another nuisance. Seriously, why aren’t the telecommunications regulators taking firmer action against these scam calls? Merely logging these incidents isn’t sufficient; we need real consequences for these chancers!

Received a call from a woman with a proper Cockney accent, right here in London, representing a housing association in the North West. She was after someone whose name completely slipped my mind; I’d never come across it before. Once I told her I didn’t recognise the name, she went on to describe what this chap did for a living and repeated his name. I assured her there’s no one by that name in our office. She then casually responded, “Alright, don’t fret,” and promptly ended the call! Quite peculiar, really.

Every time I attempt to pick up the phone, it seems to abruptly disconnect. When I dial 1471, I'm met with this overbearing American woman’s voice blaring over the standard voicemail greeting, and they never bother to leave a message. It’s infuriating, particularly as I’m dealing with a disability and spend much of my time in bed; I often find myself precariously leaping to the hallway, hoping it’s a mate or family member calling, only to feel let down and furious yet again. I reckon I’ve received at least 35 calls from this number-what on earth do they want? I can’t help but wonder if they’re being paid for every single call, especially since I’m ex-directory. They’ve even taken to ringing me twice in quick succession; it’s a tactic I’ve advised my friends to use to dodge this nuisance. E M DAVIES
