I GOT A CALL SAYIN IT WAS FROM BT OPENREACH, TELLIN ME SOMEONE FROM NIGERIA HAD HACKED MY ROUTER. I TOLD THEM I DONT EVEN USE BT FOR INTERNET, BUT THIS GUY WITH AN INDIAN ACCENT INSISTED THAT BT PROVIDES ALL THE INTERNET IN THE UK. I ASKED WHO THEY WERE TRYIN TO REACH, BUT THEY COULDN’T GIVE ME A NAME. WHEN I STARTED ASKIN MORE QUESTIONS, THEY JUST CUT THE CALL OFF ON ME.

I got a call from 02085306337 claiming to be from BT sayin my router had problems. The bloke said I should grab my laptop so he could help sort it out over the phone. He told me to open my browser so he could access my computer remotely. When I questioned him about it, he couldn't really explain and just ended the call. They’ve tried ringing me four times now.

Got one of those scam calls as well recently. I told the bloke to hang on while I fetched the “account holder” then nipped outside, grabbed my air horn from the garage and blasted it right by the phone. The language he used after was something else, but hopefully, that blew his eardrums out good. Oddly enough, when I say it’s the local Surrey Police calling, they usually hang up sharpish too - wonder why that is? Keep your wits about you folks, grin and the world grins back at you :)

Hello! We’ve been bombarded with calls from this number purporting to be from BT Openreach, claiming there’s an issue with our internet connection. The catch? We don’t even use their services! It’s become a daily nuisance. When you pick up the phone, there’s a noticeable delay - it’s blatantly a call centre shuffling you off to the next scam artist available. Funny how I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent telling me I'd been hacked and to switch on my computer or laptop or whatever. When I told him I had no idea who he was and refused, he just ended the call straight away!

Got a call from someone saying he was from BT Openreach. The guy, sounding Indian, told me there’d been some hacking attempts coming from Nigeria and they’d need to disconnect my service for a couple of hours. Before that, he wanted me to do a few things he said.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Openreach, telling me there was a problem with my router. They started with a “Good morning” even though it was well into the afternoon by then. When I told them my router had been fine all morning, they just ended the call. My number’s unlisted and now their number's blocked, so fingers crossed, I won’t be getting any more calls like that.
