There was a bit of a pause after I picked up before anyone spoke, and I could hear loads of voices chatting away behind him. The guy claimed to be from BT Openreach and said they’d spotted some security problems because my IP address was apparently out in the open, meaning all my personal info was at risk. He offered to guide me through several steps to make the IP private again. But as soon as I asked what his full name was, he just ended the call.
