For the past few weeks, I’ve been getting calls pretty much every day from loads of different numbers. Most of the time, it’s someone with an Indian accent, either bloke or lass, who wants to chat to “the man of the house” or tries calling me by my name. They say they’re doing some kind of survey. That number, 02085196800, kept ringing me over and over. Every time I answered, I just told them I wasn’t interested but they kept calling back. When I finally answered on the fourth try, I asked who it was. There was an Asian voice on the line who kept saying my name, but never gave theirs. I mentioned I’m registered with TPS, but they just repeated my name again. At that point, I said that’s not my name and ended the call.

Got a call about 15 minutes back from 02085196800. It was a bloke with an Indian accent asking for my missus. When I asked which company or who he was calling for, he just said his name was "Tony." I asked again who he worked for, but he just kept saying he was trying to answer and that his name was Tony. Got a call on my home phone at 5.11pm on the 18th Jan 2019 from 0208 519 6800. When I picked up, all I got was silence. I reported it to OFCOM, but honestly, I doubt they give it much attention which is pretty disappointing. Tried telling my local MP about it too, but that’s pointless since they’re off worrying about their own perks like pay raises and sorting out dodgy expense claims.

Got three phone calls from this number over the last couple of days, all saying they were conducting surveys. I kept telling them repeatedly that I don’t take part in surveys. One caller today even claimed to be from the benefits agency, but I just told them again I don’t do surveys and then mentioned it’s illegal to pretend to be from there. After that, the person muttered an awkward ‘oh right’ and hung up. I’m going to try and block this number now.
