I've been receiving persistent nuisance calls from this number, along with various others labelled as withheld, international, or starting with 0208, 0203, and so forth, for a whole year now. Coincidentally, this started happening after I switched to BT. It's gotten to a point where I’ve stopped picking up the phone altogether due to the immense stress it brings me. Once my contract concludes, I'm definitely ditching my landline. It appears that this is the only way to put an end to it all. Honestly, the phone service provider seems utterly indifferent to my plight.

I’ve been inundated with calls from this number, sometimes two or three times a day, and even in the late hours! The callers all seem to have foreign accents and introduce themselves with names like Sandra, Brian, Harry, or Susan. It's becoming quite irritating, and unfortunately, I can't find a way to stop them. The Telephone Preference Service doesn’t seem to provide any help either!

I had an encounter with a chap from Pakistan who was inquiring about Mr Wright. I mentioned he was occupied at work-some folks do have jobs, after all. Then, out of the blue, he wanted to know if I was a relative. I clarified that I wasn't. He followed up with a rather curious question about whether I was Mr Wright’s partner or girlfriend. I then cheekily replied that I was actually the maid. He seemed a bit taken aback and asked me to repeat myself. When I clarified that I was the servant, he just exclaimed "oh, right!" and promptly ended the call. Quite a peculiar conversation, if I do say so!

I’ve been bombarded with calls from this number, and I’m quite perplexed as to how they’ve obtained my personal details like my name and address. It feels downright invasive! Honestly, it should be against the law for companies to share our information without our explicit consent. I distinctly remember denying permission on the Council Form, as I’m aware they are notorious for selling their data. So that’s definitely not the source. Since I’m with Sky, and their customers often use BT lines, I can’t help but wonder if there’s a connection there. Is there any reliable method to block these pesky calls?

Every time I pick up the phone, it’s as if I’m greeted by nothing but silence, and then, after a bit, I get an unfamiliar Asian accent. I’ve repeatedly asked them to remove my number from their system, yet the calls keep coming! At this point, I've taken to just placing a takeaway order when they finally respond!

I'm constantly getting calls from this number, and I can't help but wonder if it's just BT customers who are being bothered like this! It's ridiculous - BT doesn't seem to offer any real assistance, yet they want you to fork out a one-off fee of £34 for their call blocking service! Honestly, it's hard not to chuckle at that! Today has been quite tiresome, as I've received three unsolicited calls. Honestly, it's just about made me lose my patience! The final call ended abruptly with the caller hanging up. Before that, I had two calls from a marketing firm conducting some sort of survey. It seems there might be several different numbers behind these annoyances.

I really can't grasp why there isn't more action being taken against these dodgy firms, not to mention hefty fines for their antics. What I do is pretty straightforward: whenever my phone identifies their numbers, I add them as “Nuisance #” in my contacts. This way, when they ring me again, I can at least avoid answering, as it’s a clear warning sign. At the moment, I've got a whole list of Nuisance-15! Oh, the joy these callers bring me... It wouldn’t be such a bother if I hadn’t opted for ex-directory status. I can't help but wonder, where on earth are they sourcing my number from???

I even hit a new high recently with a staggering 23 calls in a single day! None of the usual suspects-TPS, Ofcom, my phone provider, or Action Fraud-seem to offer any resolution. I’ve had a few instances lately where it’s just someone wanting to carry out a quick survey, which is definitely not a sales pitch. Initially, I kindly declined as I wasn't keen, but then I started getting a string of silent calls. On the next attempt, I made it clear that I wanted my number taken off their list. On the 21st of June, 2014, I received a call from this number between the times of 15:11 and 15:44. My answering machine clearly states that cold callers are not welcome and advises them not to return my calls. I tend to ignore any calls from numbers I don't recognise; they will tire themselves out long before I do!
