For over a year now, I've been bombarded by calls from this number and others starting with 0208, 0203, plus some withheld and international ones. This all kicked off after I switched to BT. It's got so bad I just ignore my phone completely because it stresses me out too much. Once my contract finishes, I'm ditching the landline altogether. Feels like the only way to avoid these annoying calls. The phone company? They couldn’t be bothered to help at all.

Some bloke from Pakistan rang asking for Mr Wright. I told him he’s out at work, people do actually work y’know. Then he asked if I’m family, I said nope. Next up he wondered if I’m his girlfriend or partner, I just said nah, I’m the cleaner. He was like “Sorry, what?” so I said servant instead. After that, he went “Oh right,” and just hung up.

I've been getting calls nonstop and they already know my name and address. How on earth do they get that info? It feels like it should be against the law for companies to share personal details without permission. When I filled out a form for the Council, I specifically ticked no because I heard they sell their contact lists. So I don't think that's the source. I use Sky but some Sky folks have BT lines, so maybe it’s from there? Does anyone know if there’s a way to block these numbers for good?

Whenever I pick up, the call is silent at first, then some Asian voice comes on the line. I've told them loads of times to remove me from their contacts, but they just keep ringing. Now I just pretend I'm ordering food whenever they call!

got a ring from this number earlier, some guy with a thick pakistani accent who couldnt even say my name right or explain why he was calling. but seriously, whoever’s behind this has every detail about me - he rattled off my home address, my cell and even my landline digits. funnily enough, i have bt blocking most spam calls… way to go bt, your system didnt help me at all!

This number keeps ringing me non-stop! Is it just BT users getting hassled like this? BT’s no help at all, but weirdly enough, you can buy a call blocking service off them for a one-time fee of £34! I found that hilarious! Makes you wonder if BT’s actually part of the scam. Imagine the cash they'd rake in if every single customer forked out that much!

I get calls from this number like all the time during the day, but when I pick up, there's never anyone there. It's really annoying and driving me mad. Honestly, I think the Government really needs to do something about these persistent nuisance calls, maybe slap on some huge fines to stop these companies. Just needed to vent, honestly :(

Today has been quite tiresome, as I've received three unsolicited calls. Honestly, it's just about made me lose my patience! The final call ended abruptly with the caller hanging up. Before that, I had two calls from a marketing firm conducting some sort of survey. It seems there might be several different numbers behind these annoyances.

I don’t get why these firms aren’t being banned or slapped with hefty fines by now. What I do is add any annoying numbers that pop up into my phone and label them as “Spam #” so next time they ring, I know straight away not to answer. At the moment, I’ve got about Spam-15 saved - trust me, I’m not thrilled about it. The thing is, I’m ex-directory, so how on earth are they getting hold of my number in the first place? It’s proper irritating!

For ages now I've been getting these annoying calls, sometimes loads in a single day - once even got 23! But whenever I pick up, there’s nothing but silence. I’ve tried reporting to TPS, Ofcom, my phone company and even Action Fraud, but none of them do a thing. Now I've resorted to just letting the answerphone take the hit. I even disconnected the phone for a few days, but that’s impossible long term because of my other half’s work. Seems like they know exactly where I am, so why isn’t there a way to stop them completely?

Sometimes I get calls from someone doing a quick survey, not trying to sell anything. At first, I declined politely, but after a bunch of silent calls with no one speaking, I finally asked them to take my number off their list. Just 10 minutes later, they rang again but there was nobody there. When I got home from work on Friday, my phone showed 24 missed calls from 0285148596, and then another 6 today. On 14th June 2021, this number rang me a few times between about 3.10pm and 3.45pm. I always have a message on my answering machine telling cold callers they’re not wanted and not to bother calling again.
