Got a call from some bloke claiming he was with Opus, saying my British Gas deal was about to finish. Turns out Opus had no clue who he was. Total waste of time and honestly, he was a bit of a muppet.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be with British Gas, asking to talk to the 'manager' - which we’re not even customers of. When I asked questions, he said he was speaking for 25 other people or something. I wasn’t having any of it. He didn’t seem to get that I wasn’t interested, kept pushing like it was some kind of scam. Ended up just hanging up while he was still yammering on. Blocked the number straight away, and then he had the cheek to ring back again. Honestly, best just to ignore and block these lot.

I told him I don’t need any new friends, so I just left the phone on the desk for a bit. He kept trying to chat, so I ended up playing some loud videos of dogs barking right down the line, then hung up and blocked his number.

It’s an absolute con! I received a call supposedly from British Gas, Eon, and Scottish Power. They were banging on about renewing my contract - quite amusing, really, considering I’m not even with any of those companies! The chap on the other end had quite the aggressive tone, and if you dared to challenge him, he'd unleash a string of obscenities. Truly shocking behaviour!

Got a call saying my electricity deal was about to run out in just under two months, and he wanted to chat to the manager. Told him the manager wasn’t here. somebody rang our office pretending to be from eon electricity, saying our contract was about to end and wanted to know if we wanted to renew it. the bloke was really hard to understand (plus, we ain't even with eon!). feeling a bit iffy about it, i asked for the contract number and he rattled off an 11 digit number. then i tried to check which property the contract was for, since we have a few with different deals. he didn’t really get what i was asking and just kept saying it was for eon electricity. when i pressed which site exactly, he let out a big sigh and just hung up on me! lol!
