They usually just hang up straight away. I reckon they’re testing if someone picks up for later calls. Most of these are automated systems scanning numbers randomly. If you do answer, your info probably gets saved for next time. Honestly, the best move is to chat nonsense with them and keep them busy. That way, they might remove us from their list quicker.

I've received calls from this number, and it turns out it's a firm called One Bill Telecom attempting to persuade you to switch over to their services. Strangely enough, the callers seem to be based in India or Pakistan, yet they all introduce themselves with very common English names such as David, James, and John. It strikes me as rather suspicious; I wouldn't be surprised if this was some sort of scam aimed at fishing for your personal information. Exercise caution!

Some bloke said he was Aaron from BT! I saw the number on my caller ID just before picking up, so I checked it on here first and read what others said. When I finally answered, I mentioned it was weird because I’d got a call from the exact same number last week but it was supposedly from the Electricity provider. He got all flustered, stumbling over his words, and when I asked if he was mixed up about his company, he just hung up! Fingers crossed they don’t ring me back again.

They keep calling all the time! The first caller barely spoke any English and kept asking for my latest electric bill. I explained that we’re in serviced offices and the electricity is included, but they didn’t seem to get it and just kept repeating “please get last electric bill” over and over until I gave up and ended the call. Today another person rang, asked for the business owner and when I asked what it was about, they said something about the phone line. Again, I told them we’re in serviced offices and it’s all covered, then they just hung up. I’m pretty sure they’ll be back, really wish they’d just leave us alone!

Honestly, they ought to be tracked down and fined heavily for being such a nuisance.
