In 2015, a group associated with Richburns unlawfully broke into my property without any legal warrant, absconding with both the electric and gas meters. They even had the audacity to direct the police on how to handle the situation! If you're interested, there's a video covering the incident [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YNoFTc4HP0). Please circulate this information widely! It’s odd that Richburns claims to have started in 2017, yet their meddling occurred as far back as 2015, as shown on the official company registration site [here](https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/10800553). Moreover, there’s absolutely no evidence to indicate any legitimate connection between this company and British Gas. They seem to be nothing short of crooks!

I just got a call from 02084774912, and they started asking for money right away. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

We got an email at work showing a picture of a letter that had the Richburns and British Gas logos on it. It said something about authorised officers from BGAS checking on payments we supposedly already made. Tried ringing back but was stuck in a long queue with a message saying "please wait your call is important". There was no actual business name mentioned anywhere in the message.

I keep receiving letters through the letterbox demanding payment for hefty sums that I supposedly owe. The correspondence doesn't even have my name on it, yet it provides this number for me to ring.

Today I got a message from +44 7464 480032 saying it was from richbums ltd and that I should ring 0208 477 4912 about some sort of authorisation from british gas. I already pay british gas by direct debit and my account is actually in credit, so I’m pretty sure this is dodgy and just a scam.

This seems like a fraudulent operation. They claim to be acting on behalf of British Gas, yet my energy account is with a completely different supplier.

my mum is blind and they actually sent her a letter about the same thing, saying theyd come round on some date. its awful they prey on a vulnerable blind pensioner trying to get money she simply hasn’t got, especially when the gas bill is already paid up. honestly, watch out for your family with these lot!

They keep sending me texts saying they’re allowed to get in touch through British Gas, but I’ve never had anything to do with British Gas at all. No clue why they’re bothering me. Watch out, it might be some kind of scam.

I've gotten this message about 5 times now, each saying they're authorised by British Gas to reach me. I haven't bothered returning the call since I stopped using British Gas ages ago. Just another spam text I have to chuck in the bin.

I got a message from +447464480032 which stated:

"British Gas has permitted us to reach out concerning your account. Ring us at 0208 477 4912 at your earliest convenience to sort this out. Regards, Richburns Ltd."

After doing a bit of digging on the office number, it seems that this lot may be a debt collection agency for British Gas. However, we’ve never had mains gas in our property, which raises a red flag. Could easily be a scam, so do tread carefully!

Got a message from +447464480032 saying something like: British Gas told us we should get in touch about your account. They said call 0208 477 4912 right away to sort it out. The name on it was Richbumns Ltd. Looks like a debt collector linked to British Gas according to some other reports online. Thing is, we don’t actually have a gas supply here and haven’t ever, so I reckon it could be a scam. Better to stay cautious with these calls!
