Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. Honestly, just don’t pick up calls from people you can’t place. I make sure my voicemail prompts folks to leave a message. Usually, I block the number straight away and then try to find out who it is. If there’s no message left, well, that’s their loss. 🖖🏻

Even though I’m on the TPS list, this number and 01623 551345 keep ringing me up. Of course, they never bother to leave a message on my voicemail.

So this time they switched it up and told me they’d track the person down then just left it hanging. Like a few others have pointed out, I’m on the TPS and my number’s ex-directory, so how on earth are they getting hold of my details like name, address and phone? Proper odd.

Got calls for two days in a row from an Asian voice asking me to answer three questions about benefits. I'm on the TPS list so was surprised they got through. Today I got another ring but the number was different - 01623551345, which they said was Mansfield. This time it was an Asian woman who wanted to ask those same three benefit questions. I asked her to identify herself and she just told me to let her speak, but I told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call straight away!

So this guy from Asia rings me again with his usual "Scam Special". When he finally answered, I asked what rubbish he’s got for me today? Last week it was the BT broadband mess, virus alerts, and that fake 'call guardian' nonsense. I'm totally over all that. Over the weekend, he kept pestering me about some car crash I supposedly had. Honestly, is there anything fresh this time, or just more of the same rubbish? Oh, and FYI, my husband’s getting really nosy about our secret chats at midday every day. Then he just cut the call.

Got a call from 0208 473 1618 on 03/12 around 2pm. When I picked up, there was total silence, which made me think it was probably some sort of scam. The number seems real enough, but my silly other half once tried calling it back and it just wouldn’t connect. Honestly, these cheeky scammers need to be cracked down on hard. I've reported it to OFCOM, though I dunno how much good that will do. Surely the authorities can track down where these dodgy calls are coming from, right?

Had a guy ring up, said his name was Robert and claimed to be from UK benefits, asking for me by name. I told him I never deal with stuff like that over the phone and hung up straight away. Seems like the same sort of caller I’ve got from a few different numbers lately.

Number 02084 731618 is a landline from London. If you block one of these scam calls, these Asian scammers just manage to ring you from a different number soon after. It’s like a never-ending cycle unless BT and other phone companies actually step up to help their customers. Try ringing BT, they’ll tell you all about these "disguised" calls and why they keep showing up.

Got a call from a different 020 number, and they didn’t bother leaving a message. Just blocked it straight away.

On 3rd December at about 2pm, I got a call from 0208 473 1618. When I picked up, there was dead silence, which immediately made me think it was one of those scams. The number seems legit at first glance, but my daft other half once ring it back and was told the number doesn’t exist. Honestly, these fraudsters need to be stopped pronto. I have reported it to OFCOM, although I'm not holding my breath. You’d think the authorities have the means to track down where these calls come from!

Yet again, my folks were hounded by a mysterious call this morning. On the other end? Silence, followed by the line going dead. To top it off, they tried to report it to BT, but the number wouldn't go through! When they finally hung up, wouldn't you know it - that pesky number rang back at them! They're absolutely fed up with these intrusive calls. 😡

Got a call roughly 30 mins back. I picked up even though I was sure it would be one of those annoying sales calls - mainly curious if there was a new scam doing the rounds. As soon as I answered, the line just went silent. I guess they were trying to check which numbers actually pick up to target them later. Since they now know mine answers, they’ll probably ring again, but no chance as I’ve already blocked them.

I only answer calls from numbers I know and let the answerphone deal with the rest. My message warns them to leave a message or their number gets blocked. Of course, no messages ever come through. If it was something important, they’d have said something, right? At least it stops me wasting time, and maybe annoys them instead.
