Got a call at 7:15 this morning, and the caller asked for someone who doesn’t live here. When I corrected them, they just launched straight into trying to sell me stuff and grilling me about my house. Told them off for disturbing me so early - we’re both retired and not exactly morning people anymore. Might grab some whistles later to keep them quiet next time! 😂

No word, just ended the call suddenly.

I got a call but there was nothing said, just silence before they suddenly ended it.

My mum got a call from a woman who said she’d won some kind of hamper. She actually knew our address which was a bit odd. The lady had a really thick accent and since my mum’s a bit deaf, she couldn’t understand her properly and ended up just putting the phone down.

I got a call from this number earlier today, but it just went to voicemail. They didn't leave any message and then dropped the call. Pretty odd.

Just a week after getting my new number, the scam calls began. Thankfully, I managed to block them really quick.

I kept getting calls every single day from this really persistent saleswoman. Even though I made it clear I wasn’t interested, she just wouldn’t give up. At one point, she asked if I caught what she was saying, and when I told her it went right over my head, she somehow took that as a yes! Eventually, I had to just hang up, but they didn’t stop ringing me back!

I got a call from a woman with an accent I couldn’t place, claiming I’d bagged a food hamper from some supermarket, but I couldn’t catch the name properly. It was a bit creepy because she already knew my name, my husband’s, and even where we live. Then she started asking how old I was, which felt a bit too much, so I just told her I wasn’t comfortable answering and ended the call.

I got a call from UBenefits, apparently out of India, and the person kept asking for someone I’d never heard of. I played along for a bit, then asked where they’d found the name. They said it was from some public database. When I told them their info was wrong, the call just ended suddenly. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Apparently I’ve supposedly won a £250 voucher from some supermarket. The caller asked me to verify my name and address, which they already seemed to have. I just ended the call and added the number to my block list.

I got a call from someone called Susan, speaking with a heavy Devi accent, saying she was calling from "platinum supermarkets" and that I’d won a £35 voucher. She asked me to confirm my address but I just ended the call there. It felt dodgy to me, but I couldn’t quite figure out the scam angle. Then, on Friday, another call came from "platinum shopping centre" telling me a voucher was on its way in the post, which made even less sense. Seems like they’re spoofing their caller ID or something.

So, I just got a call telling me I'd won a £50 voucher even though I never signed up for any contest. Talk about an unexpected surprise! I didn't hang around and cut the chat short straight away.

They asked me to confirm my name and address, plus who my "service provider" is??? Sounds like some kinda scam to me!
