Received a rather bothersome call shortly after 9 o'clock on the Wednesday morning of the 11th of July, 2018. An individual with an Indian accent was on the line, chatting about a Hotpoint washing machine. It does beg the question-can any government agency intervene and put an end to these annoying calls? I received a call from a woman who couldn't sound more foreign if she tried, claiming to be from Hotpoint, wanting me to verify my name and address for a warranty or some such nonsense. The first time, I told her I didn’t possess a warranty at all. The second time, I simply cut the call. It's outrageous that these people think it's alright to pester others just because they've got a phone number!
