I got a call from someone saying they were from BT Openreach. They told me my broadband setup had been switched from private to public and asked me to look up my IP details on Google to confirm. When I asked them to verify they were actually from BT, they said doing that search would prove it. I told them I was busy and couldn’t do it, then they just hung up on me. The caller's accent was unfamiliar too. Has anyone else had this or know if it’s legit?
