Got a recorded message from a woman with a bit of an American twang, saying there's an arrest warrant out for me over tax evasion. Hilarious, considering I spoke to HMRC just last week and they never said a thing! The message included a phone number it claimed was HMRC's. Don't bother ringing it - it's clearly a scam just trying to frighten people. If you’re genuinely concerned, best to ring HMRC directly using the contact details on their official site.
