I wasn’t sure who they were at first, but since I had put small amounts in with some brokers in the past, I thought maybe it was legit. Thing is, I’d stopped dealing with all those brokers because they kept pestering me for more money, so I just cut ties. This guy asked me my age, and when I said why did he need to know, he just said it was to make conversation. I told him it wasn’t any of his business, and he got all offended, saying I was rude - which was funny because he was the one ringing me out of the blue. Then he asked if I wanted to cash out or keep trading. I told him to withdraw the money, and I asked why they couldn’t just send me a cheque if they had my details. He suggested I download “AnyDesk” so they could transfer the funds remotely. I went along with it, but every time he tried connecting to my iPad, I denied the request. He got annoyed and blamed my iPad for not working properly. Then he switched tactics and mentioned something called “MoonPay”. I pulled it up on my iPad, and out of nowhere, he sent me a Bitcoin wallet ID to buy £350 worth of Bitcoin. I was baffled and asked why I’d need to pay more if there’s already £600 there. He said that once I sent the £350, they’d give me my money back. That was the final straw, so I told him enough was enough and hung up. Of course, he kept ringing from different numbers, so I had to block them all. Honestly, it gave me a laugh - he really thought he could scam me. There are some scammers out there who have no shame or conscience, like they’ve got no heart but still manage to carry on. WayneBrokerBitcoinX6 yearsI reckon this was some kind of trading con.
