I had a rather suspect phone call from this number earlier. They prompted me to hit 1 to speak to someone from HMRC. After about twenty minutes of chatting-most of which felt a bit dodgy-they started insisting that I pay a settlement for alleged tax fraud. It quickly dawned on me that I was being scammed. This seems to tie back to the number 02079476000, which is notorious for being linked to HMRC scams too.
